6 Months

'Musta!
So this week was a hoot and a half. One cute thing that happened was we were teaching Miernna, our recent convert and reviewing the Word of wisdom, we asked her what living the word of wisdom was and she responded "Love yourself". haha So true Nanay. Simple, powerful, to the point. Remember to love yourself this week!
We had interviews with our mission president this week which was cool. We only get to see slash talk to him about once every 3 months so it was nice to chat again. Lots of wise words and encouragement which was both much needed and much appreciated. BTdubbs my mission president is Jovy Quanzon who used to be one of the 70 before he became my mission president. So not to brag or anything but thats pretty dang legit!
We taught out sweet investigator Nanay Wana about word of wisdom and after she said she understood everything, we ended the lesson and she goes "sisters! sisters! You have to stay for coffee!!!!" haha guess we didn't teach that clearly enough. We ended up having juice and all was well.
I feel struggling with what to say with this email honestly. It's like the longer I'm out here the weirder it is to sum up my life here. I can't believe I hit my 6 month mark this week. That is literally SO WEIRD. Time is literally flying.
In Honor of my 6 months, I thought I would make a list of things I have learned here so far:

29. I understand so much better now the atonement of Jesus Christ and how it applies in my life.
30. Patience is perfection
31. Patience is really really hard sometimes.
32. We can find blessings in even our hardest days if we are just looking for them.
33. No one wants to listen to you until they themselves feel listened to!!!!
34. Be a FRIEND to everyone.
35. Always carry 50 Pecos for emergency transportation, water or bathroom (you have to pay to use public restrooms slash buy your own toilet paper)

I have learned so much. Like silly how to survive in the wilderness things and serious, testimony building things. I'm just so grateful for all I have been able to experience and learn so far and I hope that I can continue to learn and grow anymore. I can already see I have changed so much! It's crazy.
The Lord has a plan! We just have to trust him and give him the lead in our lives!!
One of my favorite scriptures from my personal study this week was 2 Corinthians 12:9-10. Let's just trust him with everything and be grateful for the things he gives us. Even the weaknesses and the infirmities and everything. Blessings in disguise. Let's find the lesson in the trial and become who he wants us to be!
Love you all so much!

Sister Turner:)
